“Where I’m From Poem”
Posted in Uncategorized on September 22, 2010 by deion34I am from the hood
from row homes and the smell of marijuana,
It feels like the bottom of the bottom,
I am from family pictures, plaques and awards which reoresent our success,
I’m from Leonard and Claudine,
I’m from the everyone’sright even whenthere wrong,
From”Shoutout” and “I hear dat”
I’m from the whole hood being behind me,
From fried chicken and corn bread
From from running from fireworks on the 4th and the finger my uncle almost lost,
I’m from sunny nice weather but somehow it always seems cold,
I am from where playing ball is the only way out………
